Episode 12 of The Musicians' Hour is out now and features the music and interesting insights of Cork based family band Greenshine, who popped into the Community Radio Youghal studios to have a chat with me about their music and perform some of their songs live.
Greenshine is made up of Mary Greene, Noel Shine, and their daughter Ellie. We had a really fascinating chat about how their early musical influences, the artists that they have been inspired by, and how they decided to become a band.
We listened to the songs of their heroes and talked about how they go about writing, recording and producing their songs, all interspersed with absolutely gorgeous live performances, including a sneak preview of their latest single 'Cork' - a rousing love song to the great city.
