New radio documentary on Community Radio Youghal
A brand new eight part radio documentary series, ‘The Creative Journey’ features eight local creatives, sharing the story of their relationship with creativity, through the lens of the challenges life has presented them.
Discussing topics such as addiction, bipolar disorder, blindness, breast cancer, cerebral palsy, eating disorders, infertility, and neurodiversity, filmmaker John Bermingham, metal artist Carole Redmond, musicians Richie Power and Chris Tattan, playwright Martina Collender, poets Molly Twomey and Cristín Mann, and student Niamh Kilcawley will reveal the joy that creating has brought them, and how in some cases it has helped them navigate life, providing a source of catharsis in difficult times.
‘The Creative Journey’, which was produced and presented by Jo Bell and audio engineered and edited by Stephen O’Leary, provides a source of hope and optimism to anyone facing a challenging time in their life.
This programme was produced with the support of Coimisiún na Meán, under the Sound & Vision funding scheme.
